Kung Fu obsessive and Wu-Tang co-founder RZA has been busy putting the finishing touches to his martial arts epic The Man With The Iron Fists. We got a first official look at the film yesterday with a literally eye-popping picture. With Russell Crow, Lucy Liu, Jamie Chung, Pam Grier and Cung Le all joining the co-writer / director in the cast, the film promises a torrent of madcap martial arts action with all the blood and guts and visual style you can handle. Plus, as you might expect, a killer soundtrack.
Eli Roth co-wrote the script, and with Quentin Tarantino adding his name to the film this could be something fun. The poster has also arrived online and can be viewed in the gallery below.
As for when we can expect it to invade our screens, that’s anyone’s guess, as The Man With The Iron Fists doesn’t have a locked release date. Come on Universal... We want to see this thing!
Ha ha, I have to laugh but this looks so shit. Rap music and martial arts do not go together and the effects are priceless. Thank God for Donnie Yen, at least there is someone still out there who knows what he's doing. More
It might be good - but is Tarrentino's penchant for pastiche a little... passé?
Before I get my coat, I'm just wondering if this'll be the sort of movie that nods and winks so much at the audience it'll forget that its a movie and just become a bunch of scenes that reference everything from Enter the Dragon to A Few Dollars More, For instance, the first "Kill Bill" was great... but the second one had that "let's see how many references we can get in here" feel to it, where as the first one More
