Tom Six Talks The Human Centipede 3
Tom Six Talks The Human Centipede 3
'It'll make 2 look like a Disney film'

With the banning of The Human Centipede 2, Dutchman Tom Six has carved a gory niche for himself as cinema’s provocateur of the moment. In person, though, he’s a disarmingly gentle soul and a far cry from the extreme horrorhead of repute, the man on whom the BBFC recently brought its censorship powers to bear. Speaking at Empire Presents… Big Screen, Six had some more bad news for the British Board of Film Classification: Human Centipede 3 is going to “make the last one look like a Disney film”.

Before you scour the Disney back catalogue for the one where Goofy and Pluto form a lovable doggie-pede, there really isn’t one. Basically, expect a lot more shocks and more boundary-pushing from an unchastened Six. “We’re going to shoot the third film entirely in America and it’s going to be my favourite,” he enthused to a Big Screen crowd. “It’s going to upset a lot of people.”

The director also confirmed that part three would be the last of his Centi-series, in a stitch guaranteeing cinema its most extreme trilogy (sorry Blade). No word on whether it would finish with one end of the centipede discovering that the other end is his father, but we can only hope not.

Despite his protestations, Six was asked if he might feel a temptation to dust off the sandpaper for a fourth instalment. “No. Never, ever.”

Six criticised the BBFC’s decision to ban The Human Centipede 2 (“the wrong decision”) and suggested that his use of British actors may have been a factor in the decision. But he's staunchly refusing to take the snippers to controversial scenes. “I hate cutting but I’m jealous that you can buy A Serbian Film here, but you can’t see mine. If it’s made here you need to be able to see it.”

One audience member asked Six if he expected Hollywood to add Human Centipede to its roster of horror remakes. “With Tom Cruise on his hands and knees?” joked the Dutchman. “No, I’m not sure but I’d love to direct it.”

The Human Centipede 2 is out now. The Human Centipede 2 is also not out now. It's a little confusing.

i think its good.
i don’t think you can compare this film to anything really. Ok its story and plot may not be that great, but i don’t think this film is about that. For years now I’ve been watching horror films to be left without any feeling of being shaken or disturbed. When i saw number 2 i did think that it was gunna be crap, however from the shocking events that followed and the really grim shots, i was, for the first time truly shaken. And that’s why it’s a good film and More

Annoying.
Having seen the first movie, I think Tom Six is really original if very sick. However, I agree that it is ridiculous that these films are banned here. People can decide for themselves if they want to see 'The Human Centipede 2', it's not down to the BBFC to make a decision for us. They banned 'Freaks' for 30 years, so one day this film will be unbanned after WORSE, SICKER films come out as society changes. It's not fair Austrailia can watch it all un-edited and the US can see it edited. Surely t More

"It's going to upset a lot of people" Mmmm, I always thought that the aim of the filmmaker was to ENTERTAIN the audience. More

Haven't seen either of them - don't want to - but they both sound sick. #2 sounds especially depraved, so why on earth does he think anyone would want to see something that's even worse? Dude's an idiot. More

This guy... Really?!
I hate how he thinks he is a really good director because he made a "sick" film in which the plot was ridiculous and terrible, even laughable! he is trying so hard to be accepted it's almost sad how desperate he is. The way he talks about his films is like yeah sick and vile makes an excellent film and if you don't like it then you're obviously not as intelligent as me... Or maybe people appreciate an actual plot not filled with ridiculous cliches and terrible acting... Also I think it was a ba More
