Killer Elite Trailer Blasts In
Statham! Owen! De Niro! Punching!

What do you want when you sit down in the darkness for an action thriller? Are you expecting smack downs, car chases, explosions and lots of growling blokes trying to kill each other? If the answer to any of these things is a big ol’ yes, then you might be happy to watch this first trailer for Killer Elite.

The film, based loosely on a true story, finds a retired SAS officer (Jason Statham) forced back into action when his mentor (Robert De Niro) is kidnapped by a pack of nasty assassins led by the scowling Clive Owen.

Cue tons of trash talking, plenty of punches and even a little dash of Chuck star Yvonne Strahovski.

If we’re honest, this looks like a total ‘80s action throwback, though in a good way. The presence of the Scorpions’ Rock You Like A Hurricane just adds to the effect. But we have just one question: what was Clive Owen thinking with that ‘tache? It just makes people want to punch him all the more…

Killer Elite is out on September 23.
