The teaser landed at the end of last year, but now here comes the full theatrical trailer for Thor, which promises to bring down the wrath of Asgard upon us mere mortals. You can watch the footage below.
This time around, the promo is front-loaded with the Earthbound sections of the plot, and in particular the interplay between Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster and Chris Hemsworth’s muscled hero. It also offers a clearer idea of the comic side to the film, with Empire favourite Kat Dennings bringing the chuckles as she tases Thor shortly after he arrives. Oh, and it seems he approves of coffee.
But then we’re back with the bigger theme of Thor’s brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) deciding that he wants to destroy humanity and the banished son of Odin having to step up to defend us all from the likes of the Destroyer.
While we’re a little concerned that the third act will descend into a Mummy-style orgy of CG creatures, we’re still looking forward to the film as a whole. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know your thoughts.
With Kenneth Branagh directing and Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgard, Ray Stevenson, Idris Elba, Rene Russo and Clark Gregg also in the cast, Thor is out on April 27.
This is really shaping up into something to get excited about, ( I would say that though , wouldn't I ?) but I'd like to see more of the helmet .( Stop sniggering at the back ) More

RE: Gordon's Alive!!!
Looks ok, but the "special" effects towards the end of the trailer really look 3-D overkill. Does anyone out there actually like crappy 3-D?!...The last 12 seconds or so left me with some serious doubts. If Marvel have screwed this up, back to back with Iron Man 2, does The Avengers stand a chance?...I get the feeling that casting an unknown in the lead, coupled with a lesser known comic book property, might get in the way of box office $s.
