Source Code Poster Online
Jake runs from the killer pictures!

26 January 2011  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Yahoo Movies

Let’s get one thing straight from the off. We’re absolutely, 100% looking forward to Source Code, the promising new thriller from ace Moon director Duncan Jones. But if we were a little bit more on the fence, like many moviegoers might be, we’re not really convinced that this first one-sheet, released over at Yahoo, would make us any more eager to check the film out.

Source Code finds Jake Gyllenhaal as Colter Stevens, a soldier working as part of a team to investigate a terrorist bombing on a train. The only slight snag is he doesn’t realise that he’s on the mission until he wakes up in the body of a commuter on the train itself, shortly before the explosion. As he's shunted back, time and time again to the same point, he's told he has to find out crucial information to stop the bomber’s next device. But then he falls for a fellow passenger…

With Vera Farmiga, Michelle Monaghan and Jeffrey Wright also among the cast, the movie itself is definitely looking like a fun ride.

But that poster? Even Jones himself doesn’t seem quite as thrilled by the concept for this image. Hitting Twitter he quipped, “For those asking… No… Source Code does not take place in an exploding Kinkos. LOL.” Either that, or Jake is recreating North by Northwest surrounded by Superman villains trapped in the phantom zone.

Check out the poster below and let us know what you think. Like it? Loathe it?

Source Code is out on April 1.

Face in a hole...
Wow. I bet they all finished work early after knocking that one up. Looks like they have used a Steven Seagal action pose template and photo shopped Jakes head onto the body. Where are they outsourcing this crap? More

Ahhhhh Jake Gyllenhaal
I've seen the trailer, and was watching it over and over again because it looks pretty good! But seriously come on Poster maker people (Yeah that's right Poster maker people) you need to come up with more original ideas for a poster! But anything with Jake Gyllenhaal on will make me wanna watch it regardless! can't wait More

Looks more like an explosion at Snappy Snaps
It's not the best poster but a title like Source Code (sounds like a Sy Fy channel b-movie) isn't going to excite Middle America all that much so they're already struggling there. At least it suggests action. Still have high hopes for the film. More

Meh...
Such a shame they've gone for the generic, poorly photoshopped lead running towards us - considering how striking the Moon one-sheet was....and the fact that Olly Moss offered his services to Duncan Jones on twitter..... More
