Scott Pilgrim MTV Clip Punches In
Scott vs Lucas Lee…

07 June 2010  |  Written by James White  |  Source: YouTube

At this weekend’s MTV Awards, there were many cinematic treats on display. But surely the highlight was the snog between Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson. Oh, and there might have been a clip of Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, too.

Okay, okay… you know where our priorities lie here. The sno…. (Stop that – Ed). Introduced by a slightly frazzled looking Edgar Wright (the poor man’s been locked in an editing suite for 37 hours a day during the last few months, feverishly slicing and dicing the film, sustained by nothing but coffee), this first full clip offers a peek at some of Scott’s (Michael Cera) smack down with Lucas Lee (Chris Evans).

Actually, it's more Scott having to face off against Lucas’ stunt team, since this crafty A-list actor lets his doubles get in a few good punches, with Pilgrim forced to fight them off a la Neo versus the Agent Smith brigade in The Matrix Revolutions. Only, you know, with less shonky moments and more “pow” effects.

If this first proper look at the film outside of the trailers shows us anything, it’s that Pilgrim appears to be a whole lot of fun. Roll on August 13!

I am excited about this!
All Scott Pilgrim promo's look great and just get me more excited about this film. Neat marketing... Chris Evan's buzz is ripe now considering his recent casting as Steve Rogers, I'm now even more exicted about seeing kick WWII ass in Cap America - if that even possible. More
