Entourage: The Movie?
Hug it out on the big screen, bitches

04 December 2009  |  Written by James White  |  Source: The Hollywood Reporter

It's one of those rumours that floats around Hollywood every year or so, but according to executive producer Mark Wahlberg, the prospect of an Entourage movie could be closer than ever.

The HBO series chronicles the career ups and downs of young actor Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and the various family, friends and hangers-on who ride his coat tails or try to keep him out of trouble.

In its six seasons, we've watched Vince ascend to the ranks of the A-list, struggle to get personal projects made and sleep his way through a legion of  sexy ladies. Oh, and Jeremy Piven has shouted a lot as his agent, Ari Gold.

Wahlberg, who provided the inspiration for the series with his own rise to fame and close group of friends, seems to think it might have two more series left in it. "We'll see; there could be more," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "But then, a movie."

Yes, Vince and co might finally move from a show about the movie business to the big screen itself.

"It is not out of the realm of possibility," an HBO spokeswoman tells the trade mag. "Right now, the creators are concentrating on the new season."

Not surprisingly, the channel isn't quite ready to give it up just yet. But if the film does go ahead, we predict the plot will roughly follow Vince trying to land a big role, suffer a problem, then succeed in the end. BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS IN EVERY SEASON. We still love it, though...

ict the plot will roughly follow Vince trying to land a big role, suffer a problem, then succeed in the end. BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS IN EVERY SEASON. We still love it, though... Not last season it didn't, It focused more on the surrounding characters, all Vince had to do was a string of beauties! Absolutely love the series though, one critisism.... it's not on for long enough, it should be on for the hour (42 mins). Not sure how the movie would work though, suppose it could be a Swinge More

Not sure it would work as a movie, but more Entourage is always a good thing. Now a James Cameron-directed AquaMan.... I'm there. More
