|Daniel Craig should have been cast as in the Travolta, he's tone of the only actors who would have been able to covey the psychotic cool that Shaw did so brilliantly. I love Denzel and I recently saw De-ja Vue, what a pile of shit, he just seems destined to star in some right crap.
The original is a real gem and remaking it is stupid but sticking Travolta as the baddie is laziest piece of stereotype casting I've seen in some time.
They are not gonna top the original so why bother and howev More|

|Washington & Scott|
|Denzel & Tony have worked together a few times now and the out come is always enjoyable. Sure it may not have the grit of the original as most re-makes don't but the film looks like it will be worth the watch! More|

I think it shows potential. It also shows what looks like the ending of the movie but there's potential too.
Besides I doubt I'd have gone to see the original had I seen this first: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqOTObjWGH8
's a decent trailer by 70's standards - and yes, David Shire's score is as cracking as ever. Hopefully though this probably useless remake will have the side effect of a new, shiny, extras-packed DVD re-release of the original. It definitely deserves More|

|You have to be kidding me.
They take a film like the original and turn it into this ?
This film has no style, no class and no substance.
The orignial had tension, great characters, great direction Mattau, Shaw, Balsam and one of the finest film scores ever.
This has Tony Scott and Travolta in a beany.

|Looks good but by I found DeJa Vu slightly empty somehow so hopeefully this will be good. Although like with the traier for Appaloosa, it shows too much sadly so I have a good idea of how it will play out but I could be wrong. More|

| nice link - thanks for that - but I disagree with you - I reckon that trailer's better than Scott's - I'd forgotten how good the soundtrack is - that and Shaw's menacing growl would have piqued my interest More|

|Yes, quite a spoilerific trailer. Yes, looks run-of-the-mill. No, I'm not interested - in fact, I'm rather angry: most of what made the original so special has been replaced with the usual Tony-Scott-action-tricks. As Otto from A Fish Called Wand would say: disappointed!!! More|

| RE: Reminds me of Phone Booth|
| I couldn't agree more. The original is a stone cold classic, driven by tension, atmosphere, humour and standout performances. I see none of that in this trailer. Tony Scott shame on you - you should have more respect for the classics More|

|Reminds me of Phone Booth|
|in some ways...but being a Tony Scott film, I suppose there could some element of surprises like in Déja Vu...but as someone pointed out, the trailer showed a little too much so its possible we may know how it will start, progress and then end....altho the bit about the milk was funny...'you do what u have to do but on your way back we need milk.' classic line already! lol... |Not that impressed....|
|I love the original, Walter and Robert were superb. This trailer does worry me, cos I'm sick of Travolta's bad guys, they're always usually overly caricatured and almost cartoony in their villainy. Hopefully Tony Scott reigned him in a bit though, but this trailer certainly looks like its a Travolta we've seen before. If he'd have gone for the cool/calculated Shaw approach, I'd have been more impressed.
I think Washington has the charisma to pull off the Walter role though, hopefully. More|

|Look good to me|
|I agree that the trailer reveals what seems to be lots of plot points but it looks good and the dialogue should crackle off the screen. It is about time we had a good Travolta film, he has been treading water for a while now, Denzel is always good value so fingers crossed this will kick ass. More|

|Hard to tell...|
|What set the original apart from other thrillers was the characterisation and the intelligence granted its audience. Walter Matthau has, in my opinion, never bettered his performance and Robert Shaw was a charismatic enigma... plus, one of the best final lines in cinema history.
This trailer isn't bad, but it does seem to reveal a whole lot of plot. More|

|Don't remember the original to well, but will swee it again before I see this. I looks okay but I don't see the point of taking a subway train as it's not likely to succeed.
There's alot of the 24's going on but replacing talking on mobiles to talking on radios'. I hope most of the film doesn't have them not meeting till the last half hour like many other films of this ilk (Phone Booth, The Negotiator etc) cos there's does seem like some great dialogue going on between the two.
