New Watchmen Production Diary
All-new behind the scenes look

New Watchmen Production Diary
If you're anything like us then you're counting down the days until the release of Zack Snyder's adaptation of Watchmen next year. While there's not much we can do to speed up time (the machine still isn't working), we can give you an all new look at the production in progress.

Click the image below to see a new production diary from the film including previously unseen B-roll footage from the set and interviews with producer (and director's better half) Deborah Snyder and prop master Jimmy Chow.

Enjoy!

RE: What is the point?
If you haven't sussed that pretty much any Watchmen thread is going to be spoiler full - this one is too. SPOILERS. I just want to pre-empt the obvious. I know the point of the 'alien' was to unite humanity against an 'outside' threat so that all of humanity would feel threatened, rather than a more prosaic, if still horrific, 'event' perhaps not quite having the same impact and desired effect.  So I know it can't be anything simple, mundane and human - like nukes, chemical ... Read More

RE: What is the point?
'Spoilers' L: KeithM The specific 'other' was NOT necessary at all - all that was needed was some overriding threat that would unite the world powers - whether that be alien, supernatural, god-like being ever There was no special significance or huge plot reason for the agent to be 'alien' (and it could and has been argued that it was the weakest part of the whole novel - I certainly think so) - so please if you have some insight into this that I've missed over the last 23 years, please... Read More

RE: What is the point?
L: Jamester KeithM, SPOILER ALERT. Snyder's alteration to the "agent" entirely mucks up the story and shows a massive misunderstanding of not only the characters but the point of the film. The point is that to bring humanity together the agent must be "other" and completely alien, not nukes or DrM. Within the story, these are both known quantities with history within that world. Bringing DrM in at the end like this via Ozzy shows a massive lack of understanding of his important... Read More
