Trailer For Big Ass Spider! Crawls Online
God help us all - it's ten stories tall!

Generally, the titles of giant spider movies are pretty direct. Arachnophobia, Tarantula, Eight Legged Freaks: all monikers that allow you to infer exactly what the plot might be. But perhaps there's never been a title quite so up-front as Big Ass Spider! And indeed Mike Mendez' film is about a big ass spider. It's not even a figure of speech. The spider really does have a big ass, and you can see it in action in this latest trailer.

There's probably no need to tell you the plot. What we will say is that Big Ass Spider! is a genuinely funny movie that's been picking up raves on the festival circuit for several months now. It's not so-bad-it's-good in that SyFy / Asylum / Sharktopus way. It's just good.

Greg Grunberg, Lombardo Boyar, Ray Wise and Lin Shaye head the cast, and Big Ass Spider! gets a theatrical and VOD release in the States on October 18. It debuted in the UK back in April at Edinburgh's Dead By Dawn festival, and is out here on DVD and Blu-ray on December 23.

Your Comments

It has bad CG and I imagine it'd be crap, but damnit I love Grunberg and Wise. I'm most likely just going to have to wait 3 years before it appears on terrestrial. More
