New Man Of Steel Video Flies In
And Supes goes head to head with Zod in new banners

As we edge ever closer to the release of Man Of Steel, the publicity machine is moving into the barrage stage. US megastore chain Wal-Mart has struck a deal for early screenings of the movie and now here come its promotional ideas. So there's a new behind-the-scenes featurette with some fresh footage and banners showing Henry Cavill’s Kal-El and Michael “I WILL FIND HIM!” Shannon’s Zod racing towards each other in a grimace-off.

We’re sure you know that Man Of Steel revisits Superman’s origin story, with birth parents Jor-El (Russell Crowe) and Lara Lor-Van (Ayelet Zurer) sending baby Kal-El off into space to avoid civil war and other strife on their home world of Krypton.

Discovered upon landing by farm folk Jonathan (Kevin Costner) and Martha (Diane Lane) Kent, the newly-named Clark grows up unaware of his origins, but troubled by feeling like an outsider. Especially given that he seems stronger, faster and just plain better than everyone around him. Once he learns the truth, he sets out to find his destiny, but General Zod is not far behind, looking to either recruit or punish our hero. Fight! Fight! Fight!

Man Of Steel flies in on June 14. Check out our superb covers and coverage of the film in shops or on the iPad now. And if you need even more on the movie, we talked to writer David Goyer about it…
