9 The Place Beyond The Pines Stills Land
Bank robbing Baby Goose is on the loose

Crime drama The Place Beyond The Pines is one helluva handsome movie. Its two leads are former People Magazine Sexiest Man Alive winner Bradley Cooper and public choice for Sexiest Man Alive Ryan Gosling. Their characters' other halves are played by Rose Byrne and Eva Mendes. Perhaps we need a new word for handsome.

Proof positive of all that handsomosity are these nine nine new stills from the film, released to tease Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance's more thriller-ish follow-up to the 2011 weepie.

The story that brings all these embarrassingly good-looking actors together sees Gosling's motorbike stuntman-cum-bank robber squaring off against Cooper's squeaky clean rookie cop as the former tries to care for his newborn son and the latter negotiates his corrupt boss (as played by Ray Liotta).

You can check out the trailer at the bottom of this news story, as well as the moody poster above. All 140 minutes of The Place Beyond The Pines will hit UK cinemas come April 12.
