While we may have seen imagery of the characters from Sam Raimi’s Oz The Great And Powerful before, few of them have been granted their own poster just yet. So step forward Rachel Weisz as Evanora, who you can see in the new image put out by Disney below.

Oz The Great And Powerful explores the troubled backstory of the Wizard, who starts life as small-time circus magician/huckster named Oscar Diggs (James Franco). When he has to go on the run, his balloon is caught in a tornado and hurled away from Kansas to the magical land of Oz.

Thinking he might finally have found a place to win fame and fortune, Oscar stumbles into a tricky situation involving three witches - Evanora, Theodora (Mila Kunis) and Glinda (Michelle Williams). Can he help save Oz and his own life? He’ll need to draw on all of his charm and skills to manage it…

Raimi’s film certainly looks colourful and vibrant, though we’ll have to wait and see if it delivers on the scale and emotional levels. It arrives in cinemas on March 8. Check out a recent trailer focused on the three witchy women below.

Still a bit sceptic about this....
Ok, the visuals look great but I hope this won't turn into a dumbed down "serious" fairy tale-movie such as Snow White and The Huntsman... More
