New Stoker Poster And Video
A sneak peek at Park Chan-Wook's latest

It's no great surprise that Park Chan-Wook has assembled a quality cast for his first English-language effort. The much-praised director of Oldboy and Sympathy For Mr Vengeance is now set to bring us Stoker, a horror / drama that has some serious buzz around it - and not just because of Park's previous work. Now we have a gorgeous new international teaser poster for the film to show you, as well as a video with music from the film and a few fresh clips.

The story focuses on a mother and daughter, Evelyn Stoker (Nicole Kidman) and India (Mia Wasikowska). Evelyn's husband has recently died, and his funeral marks the arrival of Uncle Charlie (Matthew Goode), a relation that India didn't even know she had. With Evie increasingly unstable, India is suspicious of the mysterious Charlie's motives but finds herself drawn to him at the same time.

We'll leave it there, but there are more clues to Stoker's plot hidden in this pencil-work poster and in the video here, which shows the creation of the poster and brings a little creepy suspense to brighten up your morning. That music is “Becomes The Color” by Emily Wells, by the way, which plays over the end credits and which we're told is now available in iTunes and all good digital retailers worldwide.

Want an even closer look at the detail? Move the panel on the bottom image to take a look around the poster.

A limited run of these posters is being created, and we're going to have the first four (numbered) of 1000 to give away as competition prizes. Head this way for your chance to win one.

The script for Stoker was written by Wentworth Miller (yes, the Prison Break guy) and made the 2010 Black List. It also stars Jackie Weaver (Animal Kingdom), Lucas Till (X-Men: First Class) and Alden Ehrenreich (Tetro). The film is a Scott Free Production from Fox Searchlight, along with Indian Paintbrush.

Stoker will be out in the UK on March 1.

RE: Looks outstanding.
I've made Mrs UTB watch Park's prior movies and whilst she isn't a fan of the extreme nature of the movies, she does love his style. I showed her the trailer to Stoker the other day and she said "He is an artist, isn't he...". And she's right. Can't wait for this. Was very, VERY skeptical initially but having seen the trailer its safe to assume that Park hasn't been watered down for Hollywood (unlike Kim Jee-Woon and his Walking Tall Arnie vehicle). More

Very interesting...
This certainly has my attention - whilst this trailer/promo tells you little about the film, it certainly piqued my curiosity and looks visually very classy and interesting. I will definitely have this on my radar. More

Pretty cool...
Something a bit different and quite visually striking. Nice to see a bit of effort for a change and not a bunch of faces layered together in a nice bundle above the title! More
