Clark Gregg Says Trust Me
Sam Rockwell amongst the cast

02 October 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Deadline

Although he’s been tweeting about it for a while now – and slipped a covert, hushed mention to Empire when we talked to him about The Avengers – Clark Gregg has now officially announced production on his latest writing / directing / acting job, Trust Me. He’s been shooting for a few days now and has hit the trades with word that Sam Rockwell, Amanda Peet, Paul Sparks, Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy, Allison Janney, Molly Shannon and Niecy Nash are all part of the ensemble.

Trust Me follows the story of a former child star who now works as a down-on-his-luck agent for new young actors. He stumbles on an amazing, 13 year-old prodigy (Saxon Sharbino) and tries to haggle a mega-deal to launch her career while keeping her drunken father from screwing everything up.

Given how successfully Gregg, and particularly Rockwell, worked together on Chuck Palahniuk adaptation Choke, we’re excited to see them both back in action. And that cast is certainly not to be sniffed at. Just don’t let Tom Hiddleston and his spear anywhere near the set or the thing might not get finished at all. Coulsssoooon!
