Bond Goes Swimming
For a new Skyfall video blog

01 October 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: 007.com

While we’ve already had what appears to be the final, definite confirmation from songstress Adele that she’s performing the Skyfall theme, there’s even more official Bond material out today, with the release of the latest video blog. Have a gander above.

Based around the filming of what looks like a chilly fight scene (check out the ice chunks floating on the surface), the new blog visits Pinewood’s underwater stage, a 1.2 million-litre facility that is the world’s only permanently filled water pool used for shooting.

Dave Shaw, diving co-ordinator, and some of his team take us through the complicated, high tech methods that Sam Mendes and Team Skyfall are using to capture the action.

From the looks of it, working on clashes in the murky depths is a right old nightmare, especially when you can’t see much. Sooner Daniel Craig than us... But the results should be spectacular.

Skyfall will land here on October 26.

Your Comments

Hopefully not too much underwater please...Having watched through the old Bond's not too long ago, I can confirm the underwater fight sequences (from at least a couple of the movies) were the ones that annoyed and basically bored me. Why they decided that kind of stuff was worth rehashing I'm not sure. They better come up with something good! More
