Is it possible to have too many trailers for one film? Maybe, but don’t let Liam Neeson hear you say that. Or he’ll find you. And if you don’t watch this latest promo for Taken 2, he’ll… Well, you know the rest. We’re firmly behind Neeson’s commitment to the movie, so we’ve just watched the new trailer twice to be certain he’s happy. Check it out below if you value your life and don’t want to experience a particular set of skills.
What we get this time around is a lot of stuff that we’ve seen in previous promos, with just a few extra bits and pieces and plenty to remind you that the new film follows on directly from the original Taken.
Lots of people talk about revenge, especially Rade Serbedzija, who plays Murad, the boss (and father) of the slightly dead men who dared kidnap Liam’s daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) in the last one. This time, he decides to snatch Neeson’s Bryan Mills and his wife Lenore (Famke Janssen), which also doesn’t sit well with our hero. He ropes in Kim to help out and soon the running / shooting/ chase scenes etc. are in full swing.
Taken 2 lands October 4. You’d best show up on opening day or Liam WILL NOT BE PLEASED.
