Cannes In Pictures: Day 8
On The Road and a gold Kylie

24 May 2012  |  Written by Amar Vijay

The glamour just keeps coming. The latest photo gallery from Cannes features Kylie Minogue glittering away at the premiere of the much-praised Holy Motors, in which she plays a role. Most of the pictures, however, showcase the cast of On The Road, including Viggo Mortensen, Kirsten Dunst, Kristen Stewart, Garrett Hedlund and a funny bit of business with some sort of flag. We're sure there's a reason for it but we're not sure what, so take a look and then invent your own explanations!

See Day 7 photos.

The Flag
The flag in question represents the Montreal Canadiens (The Habs or Habitants for short) Viggo M. is a lifelong Habs fan and makes sure to wear a Montreal t-shirt under most of his costumes. Apparently Aragorn supported the Habs, but the chain mail distorted this allegiance. It is admirable to support this team, presumably he's making a connection between the French Canadians and being in Cannes, because, despite historical glory, The Habs now officially suck! Go Leafs!
