End Of Watch Trailer Online
Jake Gyllenhal clocks on and cops out

David Ayer seems to enjoy exploring stories of cops, bad guys, life on the street and its inherent dangers. His latest patrol with the boys in blue, End Of Watch, finds Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena as two LAPD cops who take pride in their work and friendship, but one day see their lives come under even more threat than usual. The first trailer is online via Yahoo and can be watched below.

Watch, which blends some of the first-person shooting techniques seen in found footage films without actually committing to the genre, follows Taylor (Gyllenhaal) and Zavala (Pena), long time officers and best pals as they hit the streets to fight crime.

They have a reputation as two of the rising stars of their division, and also have happy family lives, with Taylor getting married to Janet (Anna Kendrick) and Zavala becoming a father with his wife (Natalie Martinez).

But then they start tangling with a particularly nasty cartel and quickly find that they’ve had targets slapped on their backs and bounties on their heads. Will they make it to the end of their latest patrol alive?

With Frank Grillo, America Ferrera and Maurice Compte also among the cast, End Of Watch will be out in the US on September 28, though there’s no UK release date set yet.
