Cowboys & Aliens Premiere Report
Cowboys & Aliens Premiere Report
Bond and Indy take the O2 by storm

12 August 2011  |  Written by Phil de Semlyen

Forget Lady Gaga, Prince, Zeppelin and co; last night The O2 belonged to the old West and that bit of outer space where bastard aliens come from. Empire Presents... Big Screen kicked off with possibly the ultimate movie pairing: 007 and Indiana Jones - Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford - bringing their stardust to the Cowboys & Aliens' premiere.

And jolly gee willikers if director Jon Favreau and Olivia Wilde didn't also clink-clank their glamorous way down the red carpet. The genre-splicing movie, which kicks off three days of moviegeddon at The O2, sees the trio tackling an alien invasion in the Old West with only some six-shooters, a few ponies and that space-blaster strapped to Craig's nameless gunslinger. It's 'The Good, The Bad And The One Ugly Mother...'

Empire's Cowboys & Aliens review is online now: click here to beam it up. The movie will be swinging open your nearest cinema doors on August 17.

I was fortunate to get a place against the fence so was thrilled to touch the flesh of a Tron and Bond and a Solo. Olivia was striking, Daniel was charming...but Harrison...jeez that man was dour (as most of his recent performanc More

12 September!
That's a date I won't be forgetting. Back on track; I wish Mr Ford would lighten up with his film choices. Saw an interview with him on one of the big American chat shows, and he clearly has a sense of fun (sometimes), but some of his movie choices of late seem to be an attempt at an Oscar nomination. It's not going to happen; he played too many action men in his early career! We all know he'll get a lifetime award with the next ten years, so in the meantime he ought to forget about the ser More
