Adrianne Palicki Is Wonder Woman
In the new TV series

Wonder Woman has had a long journey back to the small screen, with the role of Diana Prince / Princess Diana rumoured at one time or another for Megan Fox, Amber Heard, Tanit Phoenix, and just about any other actress of a certain age and hotness you care to name. Back in the days of the abandoned Justice League movie, we might have seen Beyonce Knowles, Teresa Palmer, Jessica Biel or Megan Gale, but finally, finally, we can announce that the new filler of the star-spangled corset and wielder of the lasso of truth will be Friday Night Lights' Adrianne Palicki.

Given the immensely convoluted and oft-rebooted history of the character in DC Comics (even after the slate cleaning, continuity tidying efforts of Crisis on Infinite Earths, for example, Wonder Woman was still somehow simultaneously a new arrival and a founding member of the Justice League), it's probably sensible that the new series will be travelling in its own direction.* Warners' Diana will be a "modern woman" and a "corporate executive", moonlighting as a vigilante crime fighter in LA, it says here.

If that sounds like a twist on a certain famous series about a kooky female lawyer, it's probably because the show creator here is David E Kelley, previously behind Ally McBeal, Boston Legal and Harry's Law. Kelly wrote the pilot and will be executive producer along with Bill D'Elia (Boston Legal, The Practice). And despite strong rumblings of some McG action, episode zero will be directed by Jeffrey Reiner, who's previously helmed and/or exec-produced Friday Night Lights, Caprica, Trauma and The Event.

Aside from FNL, Palicki has the upcoming Red Dawn remake, Elektra Luxx and Legion on her CV. Her performance in the short-lived Lone Star, coupled with her previous FNL form with Reiner, apparently made her the only actress even invited to test for the role. The question is, being "modern", will her Wonder Woman - controversy of controversies! - wear trousers?

*Though possibly not in an invisible plane.

L: spark1 she played saturn girl in a legion/superheroes ep of smallville so shes already done the superhero outfit thing. o she didn't. She played Kara/Lindsey Harrison in the season 3 finale episode "Covenant". The one you're referring to was played by Alexz Johnson in the season 8 episode "Legion" More

RE: Got Form

That was Alexz Johnson. & if you're thinking of Star Girl from Smallville, that wasn't her either (Brittney Irvin). Anyhoo, odd choice, but she was great in Friday Night Lights, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. More
