Dennis Dugan On For Sandler's Next
He'll direct Jack and Jill

07 June 2010  |  Written by Helen O'Hara  |  Source: Cinema Blend

It's no big surprise really: Dennis Dugan has worked with Adam Sandler five times already, including the currently-shooting Grown-Ups, so the fact that Dugan's set to make it sixth by directing Jack and Jill should come as no surprise to anyone.

Lest you had forgotten / blocked it out, Jack and Jill will see Sandler play twins - one male, one female. That's right people: he's going to be in drag, because that so often works well for modern comedians. Someone get those who saw Norbit back out from where they're shivering under the table, will ya?

The movie will be a romantic comedy, although we're not sure yet who'll be doing the romancing (please let it not be incestuous), and should go into production sometime later in the year. Bet you all wish you'd gone to see Funny People at the cinema now, so Sandler might've stuck to straighter fare, don't cha?

Dugan?
Wow. Dugan hasn't made a watchable film since 'Brain Donors' but Sandler keeps throwing him into the director's chain for terrible 'Happy Madison' productions. At least the premise should be fair warning for everyone with an I.Q over 70 to stay far away from this flick. More

Yea this fucks me off. Sandler is actually a really good actor (see Funny People, Spanglish and Reign Over Me) but he keeps turning out this shit!!!! WHY??????!!!!!!!!! Sure Happy Gilmore was funny as hell but other than that I cant remember the last time he made an out right decent comedy!!!!!!!! More
