The Titans Will Clash Again
Minus director Louis Leterrier

Despite the uproar over its murky, much-mocked post-edit 3D conversion, Clash Of The Titans has made nearly $400 million worldwide, which means that Warners wants another Kraken (sorry) at Perseus and co.

Deadline reports that while Sam Worthington and the surviving cast members are likely to sign on, director Louis Leterrier is apparently fine with sitting out the next trip to ancient Greece so he can focus on something else.

Part of his decision might be because the studio is hoping the film could conceivably be ready to attack cinemas in 2012, with Green Lantern scribe Greg Berlanti preparing to knock a treatment into shape and executives already sounding out possible writers and directors to get things moving.

In related sequel/talent-changing news, Deadline’s story also mentions that New Line and Walden Media are going full speed on their Journey To The Centre Of The Earth follow-up, but with a late 2011 release planned, it appears director Eric Brevig (now hard at work making Yogi Bear) won’t be along for the ride.

And that would mean possibly Brendan Fraser, who’s staying loyal to Brevig, also ditching the film, with a possible back-up plan of hinging the sequel on Josh Hutcherson’s nephew character. Either way, we’re not sure we care too much…

RE: Leterrier's Clash sucks so surely a sequel can only improve on it
The only part of that i read or cared about was the part that said Louis Leterrier's out of a job. Fucking finally! how many franchises did that man have to ruin!? More
