Seyfried Cons Her Way Into Harvard
With McG leading her on...

Amanda Seyfried, fresh from seducing everyone around her in Chloe and sweeping Channing Tatum off his feet (and the US box office) in Dear John, is planning a new film with McG, based on the Rolling Stone article The Girl Who Conned The Ivy League.

It's the story of a young woman called Esther Reed who, unhappy with her own life, adopted other identities in order to reinvent herself and get into college. Despite being a high-school dropout, her new identities helped her to get into prestigious colleges (including time spent at Harvard and Columbia) and collect student loans - until an investigation into a disappeared girl revealed that Esther was using her name falsely.

At the moment, McG and Seyfried are attached to a pitch by screenwriter Lorene Scafaria  (Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist) based on the article by Sabrina Rubin Erdely. There's a long way to go, therefore, before we see this one come together, but it sounds like it's worth keeping an eye on, a sort of Catch Me If You Can for the modern day.
