New Poster For The Invention Of Lying
Ricky Gervais' pants are on fire

Here's a first glimpse of the poster for Ricky Gervais' first Hollywood movie as actor-director-writer, The Invention Of Lying, courtesy of this morning's Currant Bun.

Set in a parallel universe where no-one can tell a lie, The Invention Of Lying see Gervais playing a schlubby Mr. Average who discovers that his unique ability to tell porkies gives him a big advantage over everyone else. Shades of Liar Liar in reverse, although Gervais' unique comic sensibilities will no doubt provide some distinctly squirmy moments.

With a supporting cast that includes Rob Lowe, Jennifer Garner, Jonah Hill, as well as the mighty Tina Fey, this looks set to tickle our funny bone.

The Invention Of Lying is out in the UK on October 2.

Why is he leaping across the sky? What is this? Gervais seems to have spent his last little bit of dignity. More
