Three Very Short Clips From Dr Parnassus
Get a taster of Gilliam's latest odyssey

This should pep up a rainy Bank Holiday: here are a few clips from Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium Of Dr Parnassus, offering just a tiny taste of what's in store. Check them out at French site Comme Au Cinema, clicking on "Extrait" one to three to see the lot or watch them below.

The film sees Christopher Plummer as Dr Parnassus (who you can see in action in the third clip), a former monk who won immortality in a bet with the devil, Mr Nick, centuries ago - but who later, on meeting his true love, made another deal with the devil that means he has to give Mr Nick his daughter (Lily Cole) on her 16th birthday. Now that that's imminent, Parnassus is trying to find a way to save her - and needs help to beat the devil at yet another wager. Enter Ledger's Tony, who you can see in action in clip two.

The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus is out here later this year, we hope, but doesn't have a confirmed release date yet.

RE: Seriously!
I can't wait either, this will be awesome. Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, Jude Law, in the same movie hope it does well after all the difficulties Terry Gilliam had with it. More

Couldn’t be more excited!
Absolutely the most anticipated film of the year for me. Beautiful design, wonderful wide angle cinematography, and even an Alice In Wonderland reference… it’s looking like everything I hoped it would be. I love every single Gilliam film. Contrary to what Empire reckons I think Tideland was his strongest since Brazil. Looking forward to another masterpiece! More

I cannot wait!!!!! Looks AMAZING!!! :-)
It cannot be released soon enough at the cinemas! It looks like true magic. I hope Gilliam gets the success he deserves with this film... so we can hopefully also see his Don Quixote movie too very soon. The effects look great too. This just climbed to the top of my 'want to see' list ... up there with 'Where the Wild Ones Are' and 'Public Enemies'... More
