Iron Maiden's Flight 666 Set To Take-Off
Rockumentary has April release date

Hot news for fans of Bruce Dickinson’s heavy metal dinosaurs, – Iron Maiden: Flight 666, a documentary or, if you will, rockumentary about the group’s recent world tour, has just been snapped up by Arts Alliance, with a view to an April 21 release in selected cinemas. Astonishing.

The film, named after the Iron Maiden jet that Dickinson himself flew from location to location, will revolve around the first leg of the legendary British band’s Somewhere Back In Time tour.

Obviously, the potential for this to be a real-life Spinal Tap is enormous, so we await this with bated breath. Hopefully, we’ll see it before it opens – we’ve got a clash on April 21. We’re bringing our daughter to a slaughter. Oh God.

If you watch QI should the title not be Iron Maiden: Flight 616? More

RE: Fire Tom Ambrose !
Like it's been quoted, it's about their last tour which saw them use a setlist from the 1970-89 era ow so they played some of their material from 5 years before they formed! anyhow, its bound to be pretty interesting, as long as theres plenty of Steve Harris, the man REALLY behind Maiden More

Jesus, some people are touchy when it comes to a plainly jokey article...   Whatever it's like, it has to be more watchable than Dickinson's Chemical Wedding - that was just utter cack.   On an aside, considering the rock 'n roll lifestyle, Dickinson takes the term 'designated driver' to a whole new level. I love the fact that Iron Maiden can still get a Top 10 hit single without any kind of support from radio stations. More

Typical lazy Journalism, oh lets get the spinal tap quotes out etc, and mention, Bring your Daughter as it's the only song you've heard off.   Iron Maiden might be getting on but they still blow most of today acts off stage with there live shows. More

Spinal Tap? Pshht, Iron Maiden are a genre defining, dominating band who still manage to pull in massive crowds despite having a collective age of probably 300 or something. Expect this to the total opposite of Spinal Tap - Maiden are as tight musically as they've ever been. More

Fire Tom Ambrose !
Reading the news, I think it;s more than obvious Tom Ambrose knows sweet fuck all about the band. Firstly have more respect for a band whose music has dominated their genre for over 30 years, don't call them dinosaurs you ignorant prick. Secondly how can you speculate it's going to be like Spinal Tap? Are you retarded? Have you any knowledge of the band and their work? Do NOT expect this to be anything remotely like Spinal Tap. Or Metallica's 'Some Kind of Monster'. Like it's been quoted, More

Great stuff; Maiden are a truly legendary band with huge regard for their fans, it's about time they had some big mainstream coverage - I'll be there! Up the Irons!! More

Can i play with movie madness?
This is without a doubt a truely rocktastic movie that should be seen by everyone. It sounds like Metallica's 'Some kind of monster' only with Maiden. It'll be off the the chain. They should do a special screening for guys who can prove they are the Seventh Sons of the Seventh Son!! More
