Twilight's Alice Goes Back To The 80

Twilight’s Alice Cullen, Ashley Greene, has joined the cast of coming-of-age drama Skateland. Final negotiations are being held to bring in Shiloh Fernandez (up next as Adrian Brody’s little bro in Cadillac Records) as the lead Ritchie Wheeler.

Set in the 1980s, the story revolves around roller rink attendant Ritchie, who loses his job and has to deal with tough reality of life in a small town and his parents’ divorce. Ritchie’s friends Brent and Kenny will be played by Heath Freeman and Taylor Handley (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning). James LeGros (Vantage Point/ Trust The Man) is set to play the father of Brent and Michelle (Greene).

Also starring is Haley Ramm, as Ritchie’s sister, best remembered for her turn as the young Jean Grey in X-Men: The Last Stand. The film will be based on Anthony Burns' screenplay, co-written with star Heath Freeman and his brother, executive producer for the project, Brandon.

The movie beings production this month in Louisiana.

Oh grow up!
If she was in a Marvel movie you'd be giddy with delight. Why are you so immature that you feel you have to negate other people's interests? Do you really think that the stuff you like is the only stuff worth talking about? More

What a fucking pointless story...
Who cares? Theyre all no namers and you've just put this up to have a link to Twilight, cos your afraid of a bunch of screaming girlies. Then again, who isnt? Anyway, this film will no doubt flop and barely interest anyone, so once again I say, who cares? More

What Gives?
A story, with a tenuous link to Twilight, yet no one has commented on it? Is it because its not Pattinson? Come to think of it, this is the 2nd story Empire have run about future projects by Ashley Greene. Is she the only one of the Twilight cast actually getting any work now? More
