Another Bastard On Board
Til Schweiger's off to war

Another day, another addition to Quentin Tarantino's ever-growing cast of Inglorious Bastards. Surely by now, he's providing work for half of Hollywood - don't be surprised to see Pauly Shore added to the roll call before the week is out!

The latest signee on the dotted line is German star Til Schweiger (the professional badass from King Arthur and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life), who will play a German recruited into the team headed by Brad Pitt's character, Lt. Aldo Raine.

The World War II-set movie revolves around a French girl's revenge plot against the Nazis and her fateful meeting with a band of American soldiers on an equally bloody mission.

Yesterday it was announced that Diane Kruger has joined the cast as a glamorous German actress, while recent recruits include the likes of Christoph Waltz, Daniel Bruhl, Eli Roth, Mike Myers, Michael Fassbender, B.J. Novak, Samm Levine and Paul Rust.

Inglorious Bastards starts shooting in Germany on October 13.

No! Nein! Nyet!
Has QT lost his casting mojo? I mean, first that soap bar of a woman, Diane Kruger, and now Til 'mumle' Schweiger. Alright, let me explain: here in Germany, Schweiger is - for some very odd reason - the most bankable local actor. It must be one of those weird fascinations Germans have with people who clearly lack proper talent, but are being revered anyway. Think David Hasselhoff. Think Bud Spencer and Terence Hill (two Italians who used to make lame comedies about smacking people over the head More

What happened to the A-List
I'm sure tarantino knows what he is doing.. but whatever happened to the A-List plan. We all secretly love it when odd A-List choices are thrown together into something we never see them in. But the cast list so far seems to be very Un-A-List people. But. If Pitt is indeed the only big boy on board in a leading role then fair enough. The other roles will probably be more Stark Making roles. More
