RE: Movie Con
Only a week and three days left, maybe some more info wouldn't go amiss, unless it's just Watchmen, Bolt and The Spirit over two days... More

RE: Movie Con
There's a blog page for the Movie Con on the site as of yesterday evening, the link to which was in today's newsletter. It's not linked from the main homepage yet, but I'm sure it will be once more is added.
www.empireonline.com/movie-con
Latest news is that 30 minutes of ] will be screened, with Q&A afterwards.

Nearly two weeks before the Con and still no further information? I'm also thinking about going, but again can't justify the travel costs without having a clue what's there (beyond the screenings). More

A plea to Empire
Will someone PLEASE post a line up for the weekend already?? Its only like 3 weeks away and I'd love to go but I'd rather know who is going to be there....infact, ANYTHING about the weekend before I fork out a stupid amount of money to buy overpriced train tickets to London. Will there be panels, stalls, signings? Any info would be welcome at this stage as I've already missed out on seats for the film screening so dont want to get down to London to find out that teh only activity was the film sh More

RE: Full line up?
Question to Empire - any indication as to when the full schedule will be announced? I'm going to be booking Imax tickets for k Knighte same weekend, and I'm afraid of picking a time that will overlap with something uber-mega-cool at the Movie Con!
A more general question: does anyone have any idea if I can return tickets bought on the BFI's website? A double booking for II urred (this is what happens when eager people don't pay attention!), so I've an extra set of tickets. I'm looking to More

RE: FECK
You can also book on the BFI website - .org.ukp;
This way you can chose your seats - I managed to get some seats in the middle at the back for the convention and there were only seats to the sides for the Hell Boy II screening.
So book up quickly if you're gonna go cos looks like they are selling pretty fast. More

I really want to go but just concerend with what the line-up of the weekend will be and will there be enough material to justify 2 days. I really don't want to pay £25 for what could be a glorified geek market (the article mentions more about the items for sale than any actual content)... More

Does anyone know from previous experience what sort of times this would be on for the weekend or the price of a ticket? Thinking about travelling from Dublin.
currently considering a trip from Dublin with friends too! Throw in a trip to k Knightx on the same weekend and you've got yourself a geeeek-tastic couple of days of London shenanigans!

I just booked my weekend ticket for £25, that doesn't include the screening of Hellboy 2, that's seperate. Be warned that the poor guys in the BFI box office didn't have the foggiest of what I was talking about so I had to really explain that it was the weekend con ticket I was after not the screening. Oh man what with this show and the awesome line-up at London Film and Comic Con in July (John Hurt, Christopher Lloyd, Jason Mewes etc) I'm gonna be one happy film geek! More
