Don't Mess With The Zohan Trailer
Sandler turns gun-toting hairdresser

What do we learn from the new trailer for You Don't Mess With The Zohan, which you can see at JoBlo here? Primarily, Adam Sandler has been hitting the gym and he wants you to know about it. Also, this film might not be very funny.
The trailer looks like it might not be finished, particularly because the editing is very strange. There's no rhythm to it, just a rather random assemblage of clips, some very long and some very short. We get the story explained – Sandler plays a Mossad agent who trades in his guns to become a hairdresser – but there's very little comedy. Unless you count Adam Sandler in his pants, waggling around. Which we don't.
The film's got the Judd Apatow name stamped on it and Sandler's capable of being very funny, although he's by no means reliable, so this has a good shot at being fun. But this clip's doing nothing for us. What do you think?
UPDATE: For reasons of fair comparison, here's the previous trailer, which is much funnier. We may have missed this a couple of weeks ago. Why? I don't know. Some mysteries will remain forever unsolved, like the Lindberg baby and how Donald Trump's hair does that.

the guy who titled his comment suck ass and taking names.........is an idiot........ may not be the happy gilmore standard or chuck and larryts going make a load of money make alot of sandler fans laugh and b a pleasent enough comdey movie.......oh and the comment you used about polished turd, is a family guy rip off get soem new lines before you start badger baiting numnuts.

Admittedly the only other film of his I enjoyed was The Wedding Singer (Airheads wasn't funny on a second viewing, much like Wayne's World lost it's charm), but there's two not-shit projects, which is more than Freddy Prinze Jr has managed to date. More

Honestly i thought it could be really funny and after seeing the first trailer i kinda thought this was going to be a return to form after a run of not so good comedies from sandler (i say comedies because samdler has done some great flicks like reign over me and spaglish)
but this just doesn't look funny. unless the next trailer is hysterical (which i am really hoping for)i think this is gonna be another unfunny sandler film. More

you dont get out much do you mate.........no it wont reach those heights but it's goning make alot of people laugh.......and sarcasim really i thought some one who stole family guy lines could come up with better..........but apparently not.........did not like the god father.

Sandler in underpants, Sandler with accent, Sandler saying "no" rapidly, all adding up to comedy gold apparently.

As Olly says this trailer is a mish mash, but the concept sounds like it could be a winner especially with Sandler and Apatow involved. But we may have to wait for the opening day to find out if it is funny or not - actually Empire can tell us :D More

There was already a proper trailer up for this a month or so ago, that looked more polished that this. And, crucially, funnier too. This didn't raise a single giggle, not even a smile.
That's some hip thrust that Sandler's got going on. More
