Exclusive: New Indiana Jones IV Image!
Spalko and her men capture Indy

26 March 2008  |  Written by Olly Richards

If you haven't yet got your copy of Empire's Super Bumper Enormo Grando Indiana Jones Special, then here's a little tease. Lucasfilm and Paramount have provided us with an exclusive new image from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which you can click below for a larger view.

The picture shows Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) and Mac (Ray Winstone) after being captured by Agent Spalko (Cate Blanchett) and her men. You can also see this photo in the new issue of Empire, on sale from Friday. As well as our huge Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull feature, the issue also comes with a collectors' book featuring exclusive photo shoots of the key players in the Indiana Jones series, along with essays written by Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Harrison Ford and more, just for Empire readers. For more on this fan must-have, click here.

AOTC
the Attack of the Clone reffrence has due corse here. I also seem to remmeber that empire said SpiderMan3 didnt meet hype after they them selevs hyper it for month in thier mag and website. So althought empire have made mistakes, I don't think it'll cloud their judgment to much. clearly some people read empire for reviews and others read it for the features, rarly both equally. only the film itself can settle this. Stop worrying about this film guys its going to rock. At the very least its another Indy film so we should all be grateful. Also if its as good as Temple of Doom then it will be entertaining as that was the weakest of the original three yet its still light years ahead of some films we have had to endure. More

RE: Come On Guys
I seem to remember Empire reapprasing their reviews of the Star Wars prequels when they realised they'd got it horribly wrong. I do take issue with the way Empire will give shit films 3 stars purely because they happen to have been given access to filming for features etc but hey, it's a commercial world. If you want a balance of opinion go to Rotten Tomatoes. If you want great features read Empire. As for overhyping Indy, well I'm all for the hype and thought Empire's latest edition was awes More

RE: Come On Guys
I only use Attack of the CLones as an example because it's exactly the *kind* of film Empire seems to fall for. A franchise that captured the world decades ago so of course the new films MUST be great, right? It's a perfectly apt comparison so stop whining that I'm using it. Now, I hope to God Indy isn't as bad as that, but frankly there isn't much about it I've seen so far that suggests it'll be particularly great. Even Spielberg has messed up in the past. It's up to the film to prove me More

Come On Guys
It IS Indy!!!! I'm sorry but if the best film mag can't get excited about one of the most entertaining film franchises in History then who can. I personally don't understand the Hype around Iron Man (how many Pics are we gonna get given, feel like I've seen the film) and please no more pics of Speed Racer, and enough already about Wolfman and please no more Hulk, who cares about Batman (sorry Dark Knight), stop going on about Hellboy 2 and Bond and Potter....... WAIT A MINUTE surely we have t More

RE: Phantom Menace Pt 2
I'm hoping this will be good, with the people involved I doubt it would be poor, but at the same time I'm not expecting miracles. And it will be a miracle if it manages to live to the expectations we have all built up in our heads. But we live in hope. I still enjoy the buildup though no matter how the final film turns out, its good to have stuff to look forward to! More

L: hatebox It does feel like Empire are going nuts for this film just because Lucasfilm have given them some stuff to sell the mag.'s a piss take, right? Empire - a movie mag - "going nuts" for a new Indiana Jones film. What a crazy world we live in. By the time the film comes out, the buzz around this film will be so big that it'll be mentioned in newspapers, it'll get mentioned on TV.... ke Empire, but I hope (at the very least) all this hype doesn't cloud their judgement when re More

L: Sambora Another Empire OTT hypefest with an entire magazine dedicated to the background of a resurrected franchise? Yep, been here before. Like with Phantom Menace, anything less than a 5 star review will make the film seem a crushing disappointment after all this concentrated "OH. MY. GOD. self imposed Indy 4 media blackout
Looks like a great issue. But I think I'll give it a miss. The film has just about been ruined by media exposure and hype already. I'm not going to wait two thirds of my life for something and then spoil it for myself at the last miniute. More

This movie has such high expectations that it worries me. But I mean it is Indy with full original creators and new faces in the cast such as Shia and the hot (nazi) Brunette. Yeah I am worried but I need to have faith ;) More
