10.The Alan Partridge movie

What Alan Partridge movie? There's one supposedly in pre-production, but I seriously doubt you've seen it. Try and keep your irrational dislike of British movies to just one thread, too - you've started four already in the last few hours.

So, you're not actually sure what movie you're talking about, but it's definitely one of the ten worst British films? Definitely?

You might be thinking of Michael Winterbottom's 24 Hour Party People. Which, for my own tuppence's worth, is a damn fine film.

The Holiday isn't a British film, and Match Point shouldn't really count either.

It could be The Parole Officer, which was fairly crappy.

The rest of the list seems to be populated by the only films he could think of offhand.

I'm going to say you're wrong in regards to all of them.

Did the British Film Industry wrong you in another life? Where does this tolerable hatred come from? Just because they didn't make Bad Boys and generally go for substance over style?

Ladies & Gentlemen I have the winner.....drum roll...........Sex Lives of the Potato Men.

Actually add Fat Slags as joint winner. Both two of the most miserable film experiences of my life and how they dont make any 'Worst' list I'll never know!!!

Seriously choose another site or something everything thread you've done have produced quite awful lists! This is no exception fair enough you mightn't like the movies but to say their the worst british movies of all time is laughable.

Considering your obvious hatred of most British films, I'm perplexed as to why you even bothered to watch the 4 I can see on the list released in the last year (3 of which in the last few months). Of all time? Not to mention the unreleased(?) film and dubiety of whether some of them are even 'British'.

Don't even start me on why Shaun of the Dead is on there. It would appear this list has been made up by someone who hasn't actually seen all that much British cinema...

i have seen british films, i got the last one wrong, but i stick with my list.

For me the standard of british films is not up there, only Casino Royale and the prestige are actual five star british films, that's my point of view.

So a random selection of mainstream British films from the last 10 years that received some critical or commercial success?

Must try harder.

PS If you think Shaun of the Dead is the 2nd worst British film ever, you are clinically dead from the neck up.  Seek help.

What is wrong with you people?

I have only stated to you that i'm not that fond of British films that much, there are only 3 or 4 that are brilliant and another 1 or 2 that i find enjoyable, but you all seem to jump to the fact that i have something against the British film industry, in which i don't, so let's leave it there.

If you keep on replying to this thread then i will come back with a Vengeance. Big Time.

By stating your not fond of British films then your pretty much admitting you don't like the British film industry (it's called an oxymoron). And what's with this vengeance crap? Is it jihad time now?

Maybe i did get carried away with the "Vengeance crap". Hang on, i said that i'm fond on a couple of British movies, not all of them, and the British film industry i am fond of, but some films just don't interest me. When i say that some movies are just not up to what i expect.

I grew up on Hollywood movies, my first movie was a Hollywood blockbuster, and so was the second, third and so on, so i guess i really grew up on them, but i do like the british film industry but for me quite a few films really annoy me.
