Why He's On The List: Many have played the most famous vampire of all, but too many have tried to humanise him (hello, Gary Oldman). Christopher Lee, on the other hand, largely keeps it buttoned in Hammer's classic take on Drac and creates an icon, letting his leering eyes and malevolent smile do the talking as Dracula flits around Europe, biting any pretty lady that crosses his path. What a complete and utter Count.
Finest Hour: Eyes blazing red with rage, Dracula slaps one of his Brides after he catches her sneakily nibbling at Jonathan Harker.
