"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain. Time... to die." Roy Batty

Played By: Rutger Hauer
Film: Blade Runner

Why He's On The List: In some ways, Nexus generation replicant Roy, the most advanced machine ever built, is very lucky - he manages to quite literally meet his maker, and question the issue of his mortality. Sadly he's also been used as slave labour, and despite being advanced in almost every other capacity, has only the collected wisdom of his four years of 'life'. But he finds peace, and his final scenes in Blade Runner are among the best sci-fi you'll see.

Finest Hour: Grabbing Deckard's arm just in time.
