"Be good." E.T.
Played By: Debra Winger (voice) and a puppet
Film: E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial
Why He's On The List: A spindly little thing with a stretchy neck, bulbous eyes, flat head, and a voice that sounds like a fart machine with the batteries run low, E.T. is nobody's idea of the star of what was the most successful movie ever. But looks aren't everything, and as E.T. waddled around, bonding with Elliot and garbling a series of adorable non sequiturs, we all fell in love with him.
Finest Hour: When he comes back to life, his pallid skin illuminated by his re-energised, warm, glowing heart. Not a dry eye in the house.
