OK, so when we first meet Luke Skywalker, he's a whiny little bitch, but as the series progresses and Luke flirts with the Dark Side, Hamill - face and soul ravaged by a car crash - injects just the right amount of gravitas to make the arc believable. Much more so than Hayden Christensen's attempt at the same with Anakin, anyway. Finest Hour: Empire's moment of truth, as a one-handed Luke finds out who his dad really is.
