Why He's On The List: And you thought you had the weight of the world on your shoulders when you were in high school. An upgrade on the rebellious teen, throughout Richard Kelly's scorching debut Donnie remains just enough of a mystery to stay intriguing, without ever being alienating. Is he mad? Or is something trying to tell him something beyond our comprehension? Most still don't have the answer when the credits roll, but this troubled kid's journey is one we're happy to watch again and again.
Finest Hour: Burning down the house of 'motivator' Jim Cunningham, which serendipitously exposes him as a pederast.
