Why He's On The List: Without Bourne, James Bond wouldn't be a blond-haired, cold-blooded killer, but the same old black-haired, shag-happy, quipmeister. Or, as Bourne director Paul Greengrass likes to say, "an Imperialist right-wing fuckface." Ahem. Bourne, the amnesiac assassin, made being a spy cool again, combining seriously impressive ass-kicking with a compelling and very human quest for redemption and knowledge. It's also the role that made a viable action hero of Matt Damon.
Finest Hour: During Ultimatum's tense chase sequence in Waterloo, Bourne takes out four henchmen without even missing a heartbeat.
